SmokeO₂ was founded by Chris and Laurie Perseo to introduce practical emergency safety products to the American market, beginning with the SmokeO₂ Mask: a compact fire-evacuation mask designed to support breathing during smoke-filled escape situations.
Founder Chris Perseo built Perseo-Erie, Inc. from the ground up and has operated the business for more than 36 years, developing long-standing relationships with both domestic and international manufacturers.
Through years of working directly with Asian manufacturing facilities, engineers, and builders, Chris has helped tailor imported equipment for the American market. That experience is now being applied to emergency safety products with the same focus: identify useful technology, evaluate its market fit, and help make it accessible to U.S. customers.
SmokeO₂ began after the team was presented with the opportunity to bring this fire-evacuation technology to the United States. With the increasing threat of wildfires, structure fires, smoke exposure, and large-scale emergencies, the need for practical preparedness tools is clear.
Our role is not just to sell a product. It is to help introduce safety technology that is easy to understand, easy to store, and practical for homes, businesses, schools, hotels, facilities, and emergency planning.
